The Winter Classic in Association with CrossFit is weekend long competition that features 4 different events.

Events 1, 2, and 3 are partner workouts (same sex partners). Event 4 is a team workout featuring 2 men and 2 women per team.

Athletes register for each event separately (so yes, if you want to do all 4 you'll go through the registration process 4 times).

Events 1, 2, and 3 have two divisions - "Everyday Hero" (RX) and "Weekend Warrior" (scaled). Event 4 has just one division for everyone

The Winter Classic in Association with CrossFit is a proud to partner with 8 time CrossFit Games athlete and owner of CrossFit Mentality - Scott Panchik.

Scott Graduated from the University of Mount Union where he studied Health and Physical Education, earned two National Championships and Academic All American Honors playing football for the Purple Raiders. After college Scott was hired as a health and physical education teacher at Mentor High School (2011-2013). During those two years Scott ran the school's strength and conditioning program, and coached football and wrestling. In 2012 Scott made his mark in the CrossFit Open winning the first workout, which lead to the opportunity to open his own gym.

We are pleased to welcome back Competition Director Phil Weigel.

Phil began CrossFit in November of 2007 with a desire to gain strength and muscle mass and become a better-rounded athlete. CrossFit delivered and he was hooked! Since then, Phil participated in the CrossFit Games in 2008 and earned a spot at the 2013 Central East Regional.  He has structured his own training since day one and currently writes programming for multiple gyms and CrossFit Competitions.  Each workout is written with the hope of it providing athletes with the opportunity to find the best and worst in themselves.  He loves watching the perpetual struggle of body and mind and seeing the resulting successes and failures athletes leave on the floor.
